"MinnowFrost, you are coming with me on the next patrol." said RavenTail poking his head in the den. Yawning, the small black and white tom opened his eyes to see the setting sun. "There has been a badger spotted on the river bank." he finished. MinnowFrost nodded and stood up. Stretching, he gave NightShade a small nudge, "see you later." he purred.
NightShade purred loudly in response to him, "be careful, don't want you to turn into a piece of crowfood." she laughed. Smiling at her, he walked out to join the others that were going on the patrol. " Congratulations." said HollyBell, "You aren't the last one. "Thanks." he blushed looking at h
As the sun kissed the tips of the trees, MinnowFrost let out a small purr. The night had felt eternal. There were a few times where he had wanted to turn to Nightshade and start a small conversation to help himself stay awake. "You two are relieved of your duties, go you may rest." smiled RedStar as she came out to greet them, "a friend is waiting."

MinnowFrost smiled and picked up all the fish he could carry, Nightshade g

He could not help but feel a little lost as nobody had stepped in to take his place. RedStar had taken him on a couple fight lessons with Nightpaw her own apprentice. Aside from that, each day he awoke at sunrise, gathered miss for the elders and went on a hunt. When he returned, he would go on the first patrol then come back and go where he was needed. Sometimes, he got to help gather supplies for the medicine cat, other times he was patching holes in the dens, or catching prey for the elders and queens.
"Go back to sleep."
The trees swirled around him as Minnowpaw made his way down the rugged path. His eyes stung from the blood pouring out of the wound on his head. He looked for the camp entrance as his vision slowly startrd going black.
He was greeted by a small she cat, a fellow riverclan member. "They are sending out another patrol, come with me." she said placing her tail on his shoulder. Nodding, Minnowpaw followed.
"They attacked us from the trees." he muttered, "their scents drown out by the rain. GoldenClaw is dead." The she cat paused for a moment trying to find words of comfort. "I'm sure he faught bravely." she choked out leading him to the side as
